Our story starts with why. We believe human connections are the key to enabling people to find, build, and achieve their dreams. We exist to make it easy for curious, motivated minds to find the who and learn the what. Lattitude provides equitable access to unlimited opportunities so we can put the right people in the right places to accelerate the solutions of tomorrow.
Lattitude is all about “us.” The name is a combination of the Lattus (prior brand) and your attitude. The dictionary defines “latitude” (similar spelling) as “scope for freedom of action or thought” or “the angular distance of a place north or south of the earth’s equator, or of a celestial object north or south of the celestial equator, usually expressed in degrees and minutes.” A lattice is an interlaced structure of individual pieces that are fastened together, making them stronger to help vertically growing plants reach new heights. Our software takes the same approach and applies it to people instead of plants. The rings represent where we start (bottom), where we grow as our network expands (middle ring), and where we aspire to be by building relationships with others over time (the top ring).
Connection and belonging are essential to humanity. We live in an era of working from anywhere (WFx as we like to call it) and the need for meaningful human connection is at an all-time high. Lattitude was created to help curious, motivated minds find the who and learn the what to put the right people in the right places to accelerate the solutions of tomorrow.
Lattitude is a platform that helps people (us) reach our max potential together by learning from one another through sharing insights, perspectives, and experiences. We grow by learning from others and iterating over time, Forbes agrees.
Pete grew up on a farm outside of Pittsburgh, PA, and learned the value of hard work and the importance of helping others at a young age. He did not have access to professional mentors and was unsure where to go for career guidance and advice. Pete always loved helping people and was extremely passionate about connecting people. He was exposed to people from around the world in 2013 (study abroad) and realized that others had the same problems, questions, and issues that he had while growing up in rural America. This “super-connector” manually facilitated 500+ conversations in 2014 – 2017. While making connections, he determined that “human connection” required many tools and various platforms…and it took A LOT of time. The concept of a streamlined solution was born in 2018 and Pete left a successful career to scale Lattitude in 2020.
